Marriott hotel chain opens new hotels

Marriott hotel chain, a major operator in the market of hotel real estate of luxurious class, will soon expand its network worldwide. Moreover, this expansion will happen not only due to the construction of the new Marriott hotels.

The world financial crisis has forced many independent hotels to revise their policy. In order to maintain their positions in the market, some hotels have to turn to large corporations with proposals for cooperation. As the most common way they offer market entry under the well-known brands of corporations.

Marriott hotel chain is planning to incorporate about 700 hotels over the next four years. Independent hotels will act under different brands of Marriott, including such well-known one as a network of luxury hotels Ritz-Carlton.

Nevertheless, the financial crisis has applied its adjustments. Marriott, which is considered to be one of the greatest players of the hotel market, announced about the reduction in profit by almost 30% in the first quarter of 2009. Marriott representatives explain such results by worldwide slowdown of economic activity and business tourism, which brings most of the revenues to Marriott hotels.

Against the backdrop of the crisis Marriott strives to reduce costs while maintaining the level of service. Not so long ago, the company applied the next innovation. Now in the number of hotels that are members of the Marriott hotel chain, such as the JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts and Marriott Hotels & Resorts, the newspaper will be delivered in accordance with the preferences of guests.

After all, despite the economic downturn, Marriott continues expansion. The most promising market of the hotel world - Asia – is in the focus of Marriott today. In mid April the company announced the opening of a new Marriott Hotel Northeast Hotel in Beijing, with a capacity of 320 rooms.
