Hilton strengthens its position in the hotel market of Egypt. Another fact that approves it – a signed agreement between Hilton Worldwide and Concord Co, which represents the Department of Tourism Development in Egypt. According to the agreement, a luxurious hotel in Marsa Alam resort, the construction of which is planned to be accomplished in 2012, will be handed under the management of Hilton.

A new hotel in Marsa Alam will be a part of a large tourist complex, which in addition to the hotel will also include a tourist apartments area, a leisure park and the congress center.

The total key count of the new hotel in Marsa Alam, which will be managed by Hilton, will be 270 rooms. Hotel will be located 20 kilometers south of Marsa Alam International Airport and 30 kilometers away from the city itself.

Hilton Marsa Alam will have 6 restaurants and bars. A regular restaurant will be opened in the buiding of the hotel, as well as an open-air restaurant, cocktail-bar, a bar in the lobby area and a bar on the beach. Among the services, offered to the visitors of the hotel will be: a gym, a wellness lounge, 4 swimming pools, a diving area, tennis courts and children’s entertainment center.

Today, Marsa Alam – is one the latest resorts in Egypt, on the southwestern shore of the Red Sea. Coral reefs, ancient architectural sights, monuments of the Roman Empire, diving and spacious beaches – these are the main attractive points, which attract tourists planning a vacation in Egypt. Marsa Alam is less popular than Hurghada and Sharm Al-Sheikh. However, massive construction of new hotels in the vicinity of the resort allows to consider Marsa Alam as one of the most promising holiday destinations in Egypt in the nearest future. Appearance of such a giant as Hilton on the hotel market on Marsa Allam once again confirms the ambitions of the resort to become another spa tourist capital of Egypt.

It is worth noting that Hilton today is among the world’s largest hotel brands in Egypt. It total, 16 hotels located in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, and in the key resort of Egypt are operated by Hilton. The Middle East region is a priority one for Hilton. Besides Egypt, Hilton has opened 9 hotels in the UAE, one in Oamn and one in Kuwait, and 6 hotels in Saudi Arabia.
