Hotel chain Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas, the basic structure of which consists of hotels in Thailand, intends to begin expansion in the hotel market in India in the near future. Over the next five years, Anantara plans to open 8 hotels in India. Among the regions of India, where Anantara intends to present its new hotels are: the city of Mahabalipuram on the north-east coast of India, as well as the resorts of Goa, Kerala and Rajasthan.

Hotel chain Anantara today manages a total of 11 hotels, which are represented in the segment of luxury real estate. In Thailand Anantara chain operates five hotels in major resorts of the country: Ko Samui, Phuket, Hua Hin, Golden Triangle and Krabi. In addition, Anantara hotel chain owns 3 hotels in the Maldives, one in Bali and two hotels in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE. In the nearest plans of the company - the opening of new hotels in Oman, the Maldives and in the Chinese resort Sanya on Hainan Island.

Anantara hotel chain is a part of Global Hotel Alliance, which brings together independent operators of luxury hotels around the world. Global Hotel Alliance includes such well-known hotel chains like Kempinski, Marco Polo and others.

The concept of Anantara hotels - impeccable service, combined with the luxury of unity with nature. Anantara hotels – these are massive hotel complexes, where in addition to accommodation a wide range of additional services is offered: from spas to scuba diving. Not so long ago Anantara presented its new hotels in Russia. The presentation of Anantara Kihavah villas (Maldives) and Anantara Al sarab (Abu Dhabi) took place in October 2009 in St. Petersburg.

The development of hotel market of India by hotel companies from Thailand is becoming more and more relevant. Not so long ago, another luxury hotels chain - Amari Hotels and Resorts - announced its plans to enter the hotel market of India.
