Starwood will open 6 hotels in China, India and the U.S. by the end of the year

The hotel giant Starwood has announced its plans to open 6 luxury hotels before the end of 2009. Starwood Company will represent new hotels in China, India and the United States under the Westin brand. Among the novelties from Starwood three hotels in India were mentioned: Westin Hyderabad Mindspace in Hyderabad, Westin Garden City in Mumbai and The Westin Pune Koregaon Park at Koregaon resort; two hotels in the United States: Westin Washington Dulles Airport at the Washington airport and The Westin Lake Mary in Orlando; and one hotel in China - Westin Tianjin in Tianjin.

Westin brand belongs to the luxury hotels segment. The opening of six luxury hotels indicates that the hotel market gradual overcomes the crisis. In addition, the expansion of Starwood into the markets of Asia once again highlights the prospects of the region. In 2010 Starwood will not intend to rest on laures. It is expected that the number of hotels under the Westin brand will be opened in 7 countries, three Asian ones are among them: Japan, India and China.

Starwood has relatively recently began the promotion of Westin brand to foreign markets. Previously, the hotel chain was represented only in the U.S. and Canada. Today out of 163 hotels of Westin chain 52 are located outside the North American continent.

Regarding the alleged openings of Westin hotels in 2009 - each of them will feature its own style and they will be primarily targeted on business travelers.

Westin Hyderabad Mindspace will be intended primarily for business clients from the field of IT. The location of the hotel conforms its intended purpose - near technological center Raheja Mindspace, “Silicon Valley” of India.

Hotel Westin Pune Koregaon Park - the classic tropical resort in the vicinity of the picturesque natural park.

Two Westin hotel will offer its services near the airports. Westin Washington Dulles Airport will be located in the immediate vicinity of the main airport of the capital of the United States and Westin Mumbai Garden City will be situated in a ten minute drive from the international airport of Mumbai.

Hotel Westin Lake Mary, located in downtown Orlando, near the offices of large corporations, combines strict business style with the view of the picturesque surroundings of one of the largest cities in Florida.

Hotel Westin Tianjin will become a part of the vast complex, which in addition to the hotel will include apartments, office spaces and shopping areas. The hotel will be located in a key business district of Tianjin.
