Legendary hotel in Vancouver will pass under the management of Rosewood

Rosewood Hotels & Resorts chain was selected as the management company for the legendary Vancouver hotel - Hotel Georgia. Henceforth, the hotel will be represented on the hotel market of Vancouver under the name Rosewood Hotel Georgia.

Hotel Georgia, ranked among the historic hotels of Canada, today is under construction. Unfortunately, it will not be completed in the near future, and so the legendary hotel will not be able to host guests of the Winter Olympics in Vancouver in 2010.

According to the plans of Rosewood, the opening of the hotel will take place in 2011. Guests of Vancouver will be offered 154 renovated rooms, including spacious suites. Among the additional services: spa complex, swimming pool, gourmet restaurant and nightclub – all this is complementary for premium class hotels.

In the near future, Rosewood Hotels & Resorts Company also plans to represent another commercial property. It will be a 48-story skyscraper next to Hotel Georgia, where apartments and flats will be located. The opening of this building is planned in 2012.

Hotel Georgia - is the pearl of the hotel industry in Vancouver. Built in 1927, the hotel for more than 80 years was considered one of the most luxurious in the city. Elvis Presley and the British monarchy were among the guests of Hotel Georgia.

Rosewood Hotels & Resorts is going to return the old gloss to Hotel Georgia. The company charged Canadian firm Munge Leung with developing of the interior design of the hotel. Finewood, gold and red colors in the lobby - a classics, which will underline once again the charm and historical significance of Hotel Georgia.

Rosewood Hotels & Resorts chain to date operates primarily luxury hotels in the United States and Canada. Among the most famous hotels that are the members of Rosewood chain nowadays- The Carlyle in New York.
