Azimut chain plans to open its first hotel in Moscow

Russian hotel chain Azimut, hotels of which can be found in many large cities of Russia, in the near future plans to enter the hotel market of the capital of Russia. The company intends to open the first hotel in Moscow under the brand of Azimut in May 2010.

The new hotel by Azimut in Moscow will have 3-star class. It will be located near the former textile factory Danilovskaya manufactory, where the establishing of a business center is almost completed.

The construction project of Azimut hotel is being implemented in collaboration with the company KR Properties. The new hotel by Azimut will be housed in the historical building of the early 20th century. The design of the hotel was intended to conserve the style of that era. Red brick, molding, finewood - these are the basic elements of the hotel design.

The new Azimut Hotel Moscow will have 144 rooms, a restaurant with 95 seats and a room for negotiation. The total cost of investments for creation of the hotel is estimated at 8.5 million dollars.

Business tourists will, most likely, be the main clientele of the hotel. An additional advantage for businessmen in Azimut Hotel Moscow will be not only a unique design and reasonable price, but also the location. The hotel is situated near key transport arteries of Moscow - Warsaw highway and the Third Ring Road. The hotel guests can use the parking of the office complex “Danilovskaya Manufactory 1867”. The hotel will be located within walking distance from the metro station "Tulskaya". The nearest airport Vnukovo is situated 20 minutes away from the hotel.

As you know, Moscow today is experiencing shortage of hotels of middle-class segment. Prices for 3-star hotels in the capital of Russia are in average 2 times higher than in Western Europe. Even now besides Azimut chain, major international chains, such as Accor and Rezidor show interest to this segment of the Moscow hotel property.

It is naturally that after the opening of the first hotel Azimut chain plans to continue its expansion on the hotel market of Moscow. According to Azimuth officials, today the company together with KR Properties goes into issues on the construction of new hotels in Moscow. The details of the projects were not reported. It is only known that the new hotels, in contrast to Azimut Hotel Moscow, will be constructed from scratch.
