Hyatt Corporation and the Chinese developer Suning Real Estate Development Co signed an agreement, according to which both companies will cooperate in construction and management of new hotels in China.

In accordance with the contract, in the next three years, the companies will jointly implement three construction projects of hotels. The dates of opening of new hotels from Hyatt in China have already been determined - 2012-2013. All hotels will be located in major industrial zones of China. Two hotels - Hyatt Regency Wuxi and Hyatt Regency Xuzhou – are scheduled to be opened in 2012. The company intends to present Grand Hyatt Nanjing hotel in 2013.

Grand Hyatt Nanjing promises to become the most ambitious of the three projects. Hotel, designed for 400 rooms, will be a part of the commercial center Suning Plaza, which is currently being constructed by Suning Real Estate Development Company. Hotel in Nanjing will be the 8th one under the brand Grand Hyatt, opened by the corporation in China. Prior to that, Hyatt has already opened its hotels in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Macau, Hong Kong, Taipei and Shenzhen.

Hyatt Regency Wuxi will be slightly smaller than Grand Hyatt Nanjing. It will be designed for 350 rooms. The hotel will become a part of the hotel and shopping complex consisting of two towers, which are also being erected by Suning Real Estate Development Company. The hotel will be located on the upper floors of one of the skyscraper- towers. Entertainment and shopping complexes, cinema and restaurants will be opened in the other tower.

Hyatt Regency Xuzhou will also be located on the upper floors of a skyscraper. It will be housed, as in the case of the hotel in Nanjing, in Suning Plaza, which the Chinese developer tends to build in the city center. The hotel will be designed for 350 rooms.

The expansion of Hyatt in the Chinese hotel market – is one of the most impressive among the luxury hotels segment. Over the past year and a half Hyatt has presented 6 new hotels in China. In total there are 15 hotels under the management of the company in China.
