Portugal - a country that is still unfairly neglected by the tourists from Russia and CIS countries. Hotels in Portugal in the capital Lisbon, at Algarve and Madeira resorts are well known as one of the best places for summer holidays in Europe. Leading hotel chains are struggling for the right to carry out construction in Portugal. Fierce competition allows hotels in Portugal to maintain a high level of service. Despite the crisis, dozens of new hotels are scheduled to be opened in the hotel market of Portugal. Some of the most significant projects of the near future can be distinguished among them.
Melia Braga Hotel & Spa. Spanish hotel chain Solo Melia - one of the major players in the hotel market in Portugal. The opening of a new hotel of the chain - Melia Braga Hotel & Spa - is scheduled for June 2010. City of Braga in Portugal is considered one of the largest industrial centers of the country. Therefore Melia Braga Hotel & Spa will be designed primarily for business clientele. The new hotel will include 180 rooms and a spacious congress center with a total area of 750 sq. m.
Hotel Hilton Alvor, Algarve. Hilton decided to present its next hotel in Portugal in one of the most popular holiday regions of the country - the province of Algarve. It will be located at Alvor resort near the town Faro in the picturesque place on the Mediterranean coast on the territory of a large park. The hotel will be designed for 174 rooms. The hotel will offer several bars, a fitness center, outdoor pools, and a conference center. The opening of Hilton Alvor is planned for 2012.
Hotel Oitavos, Cascais. The luxurious five-star Oitavos hotel will be located on the territory of the National Park Sintra Cascais, among sand dunes overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, in the region, which is known as the Lisbon Riviera. The hotel will be designed for 142 rooms. Hotel Oitavos will be a part of a vast tourist complex, which ,in addition to the hotel, already includes horse riding center, fitness center and golf course. Also among the advantages of the hotel - its proximity to the international airport of Lisbon (20 minutes). Opening of the hotel Oitavos is scheduled for summer 2010.

Mövenpick: the first hotel on Bali
Chain of luxury hotels Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts became another major international player, which decided to enter the Indonesian hotel market. The company announced its plans to open a new hotel on Bali. Mövenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran will be the first hotel of the network in Indonesia. Mövenpick hotel will be located on the south Bali near Jimbaran Bay.
