A new hotel will appear in the family of hotels in Austria in the near future. At this time the addition is expected in Salzburg. A hotel in the hometown of Mozart promises to be unique in its kind. It will be located in the former headquarters of Miele Company, a well-known Austrian producer of household appliances.

The building, also known as Miele House, is located in the center of Salzburg, near Leener bridge. Not so long ago the company was forced to put the office on the sale. The buyer is the Austrian company Hillebrand.

The building of Miele Company is an example of architecture of the 1960's and is considered the architectural merit of Salzburg. Therefore, it is not allowed to make changes in its external appearance. According to the plans of the new owner, the major part of construction work will be carried out inside the future Salzburg hotel in the Miele House.

In total, Hillebrand Company intends to invest about 10 million euro in equipment of the new hotel in Salzburg. Hillebrand does not plan to open another luxury hotel in Salzburg. According to the concept of the company, the new hotel will be the variation of style hotel targeted primarily at business travelers. The hotel capacity will be about 100 hotel rooms. Authors of the project believe that the hotel will be in demand due to its proximity to the historic center of Salzburg and the railway station. According to the Austrian channel ORF, due to the retaining of its external appearance the hotel will remain one of the attractions of Salzburg.

The plan of the new hotel will be the pilot for Hillebrand. In the case of success the company intends to promote its brand throughout Austria.

The agreement, which Hillebrand concluded with the former owner of the building, supposes that Miele will be using the part of the office spaces until the spring of 2011.
