Indian hotel brand Taj Hotels will soon be represented at the Egyptian hotel market. Indian Hotels Co Ltd, the owner of the brand, in early February has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Egyptian developer Palm Hills Developments. The agreement foresees the opening of three new hotels in Egypt under the Taj brand name over the next three years. Palm Hills Developments will be in charge of constructing the new hotels.

According to the site www.dnaindia.com, the representative of Indian Hotels Co Ltd on condition of anonymity has confirmed his company's intention to begin expansion in the hotel market of Egypt.

Successful implementation of this project will allow Indian Hotels Co Ltd to become the second Indian company, represented at the hotel market of Egypt. Prior to that, another Indian chain - Oberoi Group - has opened two of hotels in Egypt: an exclusive resort - Oberoi Sahl Hasheesh on the Red Sea and updated hotel legend of Egypt - Mena House at the foot of the Egyptian pyramids.

Three new hotels under the Taj brand name will appear in different areas of Egypt. Their construction is being implemented now on the Mediterranean coast of Egypt, on the Red Sea, as well as in the historic city of Aswan on the banks of the Nile. The first of the three hotels is planned to be opened in 2013 in Hacienda Bay in northern Egypt.

Hacienda Bay today is one of the largest residence complexes under construction on the Mediterranean coast of Egypt. In addition to apartments, four luxury hotels are planned to be build here, one of which will be presented by the Indian company.
