Louis Vuitton acquired a taste for the hotel business. After opening its first hotel in France one of the leading manufacturers of luxury goods has decided to go to the hotel market in the Middle East.

According to the Wall Street Journal Louis Vuitton is ready to act as operator for the two future hotels in Egypt and Oman. But the company does not intend to buy hotels and will only manage them.

The developer of the hotels of the Luis Vuitton in the Middle East is Egyptian developer Orascom Development Holding. This one of the largest investors in the hotel industry of Egypt is known for the opening of several successful hotels on the Red Sea in Egypt, in the resort of Aqaba in Jordan and the UAE. Orascom operates in different price niches. For example, among recent projects of the company, which city-of-hotels.ru reported earlier, is developing a network of budget hotels in Cairo. In this direction Orascom intends to invest 70 million dollars. According to the agreement on cooperation that Luis Vuitton has signed with Orascom, the opening of new hotels in Egypt and Oman is planned in 2012.

The first hotel managed by Louis Vuitton has been opened in the French Alps in 2006. The venue of the opening was chosen the most luxurious ski resort of France, Courchevel. Hotel Cheval Blanc is a classic chalet, built with taste and respect of the traditional style of the Savoy province. Since its opening, the hotel became a center of bohemian life in Courchevel and its "Nights so Chic" for four years are of interest among the rich interested in products of the famous brand. The name Cheval Blanc was given to the hotel according to the winery owned by Louis Vuitton. Cheval Blanc according to the plan of the company will become a brand, which will include also luxury hotels in the Middle East.
