The popularity of boutique hotels forced to turn to this type of real estate largest hotel operators in the world. Hotel chain Marriott, fourth largest separate hotel corporation in the world plans to open boutique hotels under its own brand by the end of 2010.

Collaboration in the development of a new Marriott brand is carried out with Ian Shrager - a man who is believed to coin the concept of boutique hotel.

A new brand of boutique hotels Marriott was called Edition. It will be another new addition to the brand family of Marriott, which today includes branded hotel chain JW Marriott, Renaissance Hotels and Courtyard by Marriott Hotels.

The first two boutique hotels from Marriott are to be introduced in October and December 2010. It will be hotel on Hawaii at the famous beach of Waikiki (opening in October) and the hotel in the historic center of Istanbul, Turkey (opening in December).

Feature of boutique hotels of Edition by Marriott is almost complete preservation of the original concept of boutique hotel, which includes style, seclusion, elegance, personalized approach and, of course, no standard approach to the hotel interior design.

Hotels of Edition chain should have been opened much earlier. Entering the market with a new brainchild Marriot planned in 2008. However, the global financial crisis postponed the premiere. So the presentation of the Edition in 2010 may serve as an indirect indicator of recovery in the industry of luxury hotels.

At the same time, despite the optimism of Marriott, which it demonstrates, while bringing to market new product American hoteliers are still have a lot of work to return to pre-crisis level. It is worth noting that not so long ago Marriott gave way to hotel Hilton in the list of three largest corporations in the world. This happened despite the Marriott reports on the first growth of clients for two years.
