Hotels in Montenegro: first Hilton in 2012

Hilton Corporation has finally reached Montenegro. The company announced plans to open its first hotel in Montenegro by 2012. The capital Podgorica is the city, which will host the world famous hotel brand.

The contract for opening the first Hilton hotel in Montenegro was signed in May 2010.The project with the Montenegrin side will carry out AD UTIP Crna Gora Company. It will own the hotel while Hilton will act as the management company.

Future Hilton Podgorica Montenegro in Podgorica will be located in a historic building, where until 1952 was located one of the best hotels in the city. To restore its former luster and charm the Hilton company plans to invest in the reconstruction of the building several million euros.

The hotel will be designed for 200 rooms. It will include spa, banquet hall, restaurant, bar and casino. The hotel will be a part of the hotel and commercial complex that will include a large shopping center and conference room of 900 sq.m.

Hotel in Podgorica will be the newest addition to the Hilton’s portfolio in Eastern Europe. Hilton does not hide its interest in the region and has recently been pursuing an active expansion of several of its brands in the markets of CEE countries. On the eve of announcing a new hotel in Montenegro Hilton announced the intention to shortly introduce a new hotel in another Eastern European country - Poland. It will be a new hotel in Gdansk. We also remind that in 2005 Hilton presented Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik Hotel in neighboring Croatia.
