Philips invented televisions for the hotels

(Hotel News Worldwide)

Dutch electronics company Philips introduced a line of televisions, designed specifically for the hotels. Philips was one of the first world manufacturers, which released a television especially for the hotel business.

The new line includes three types of televisions for the hotels - EasySuite, PrimeSuite and Signature. In early October they were represented to 125 major distributors of products of the company.

The presentation was held in the Netherlands at the Steigenberger Kurhaus Hotel. Among the guests were seen general director of one of the largest hotel chains in Europe Steigenberger Hotel Group Arco Buidzhs, as well as Ian Millar, a representative of the famous Swiss School of Hotel Management EHL (Lausanne), which is one of the leading educational institutions in the world in the field of the hotel management.

A new line of televisions has a number of benefits, known as “Super Seven”: from progress in the field of ecology to the full range of services, including extended warranty period and proposals for the lease.

A new range of Philips TVs not only allows you to fully immerse in the entertainment world, but also helps to reduce power consumption and reduce the costs of each hotel. This is one of seven advantages. Philips TVs for hotels reduce power consumption thanks to the SmartPower, which reduces the brightness of the backlight screen without sacrificing image quality.

Emphasizing on energy efficiency, Philips says that the new models allow reducing operating expenses by € 75 every seven years.

Offering to the 1-3 star independent hotels the EasySuite and PrimeSuite models with MyChoice technology, Philips gives them the opportunity to earn additional income from the sale of prepaid cards that allow customers to watch premium channels at any time. Guests can use the specified code in the card to watch their selected channel. Thus, the hotel market is offered a new revenue model, and guests - additional services.

TVs of the Signature line provide a truly cinematic experience and allow hotels to get a clear competitive advantage. Among the unique models of LED-TVs is the world's first Full HD 3D-TV with "cinema" screen with a diagonal of 58" Cinema 21:9.
