The world-renowned Hilton hotel chain has announced the opening of its eighth hotel in China (and second in Shanghai) - Hilton Shanghai Hongqiao. It is conveniently located just 15 minutes from the Shanghai Hongqiao Airport and 55 minutes from the Pudong International Airport.

Hilton Shanghai Hongqiao hotel, which consists of three buildings constructed in the form of towers, offers 682 spacious and comfortable rooms with an area, which varies from 46 (standard room) to 238 (exclusive suites) square meters.

It has three restaurants, two tennis courts, located on the roof of the building, the 25-meter indoor swimming pool, superbly equipped fitness center and a spacious hall for ballroom dancing, which can receive more than 1.000 guests.

Hilton Shanghai Hongqiao is located near public transport routes and is surrounded by chic shopping centers, entertainment venues and expensive residential complexes. Golf amateurs will be able to relax on the golf course for nine holes, which is located directly opposite the hotel.

Martin Rinck, the president of the Asia-Pacific branch of the Hilton Worldwide commented: "The Hilton brand is growing rapidly in Asia and especially in China, which is a key strategic market for global expansion of our company. Hilton Shanghai Hongqiao is another important milestone in the development of Hilton Worldwide. It is conveniently located in the rapidly growing Hongqiao area, which refers to the Minhang District and hosts many transnational companies ".

Hongkyao district was among the first in Shanghai, where the planned development began. Eventually it became one of the major commercial centers of the Chinese metropolis. With the recent expansion and modernization of Shanghai Hongqiao Airport, it continues to grow attracting visitors from both China itself and many other countries.
