Rapidly growing operator The Rezidor Hotel Group announced the construction of two new hotels in the UK. Both of the new facilities of hotel infrastructure - Radisson Blu Hotel Newcastle for 170 rooms and Park Inn Bournemouth for 172 rooms - will open its doors in 2013.

Radisson Blu Hotel in Newcastle will have a very convenient location - on the main highway Westgate Road near the central train station. All standard rooms and suites will be equipped with free wireless internet access. Guests will be able to use the restaurant, bar, conference room and fitness center. A guest parking will also function there.

Kurt Ritter, the president and CEO of The Rezidor Hotel Group, commented on it: "Our hotel portfolio under the brand name Radisson Blu represented in Great Britain by 17 hotels, which are located in all major cities, including London, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Glasgow, Liverpool and Edinburgh. It demonstrates how the home market is important for our luxury brand".

Newcastle, located in northern England on the River Tyne, is the sixth largest urban area in the UK. It is also one of the best markets for the British hotel industry, because in addition to corporate users, it receives a lot of individual guests. The city has a well-developed leisure sector, there are often held different cultural, educational and recreational activities. Newcastle has also a well-known football club.

So, despite the ongoing economic crisis, local hotels can boast of a fairly good and stable occupancy.

Hotel Park Inn Bournemouth will also be located in the center, equidistant from the coast and the central railway station. Nearby is located a large business center Bournemouth International Centre, which should make the new hotel a good option for business travelers. The hotel will be equipped with bar, restaurant, gym and rooms for business meetings and negotiations.

The city of Bournemouth is one of the largest in southern England and has a reputation for a suitable location for a beach holiday, as well as for business events. It is visited by more than one million guests annually. More than 10 kilometers of wonderful beaches near the town predetermine some seasonality in the occupancy of local hotels.
