Swiss hotel chain Moevenpick Hotels & Resorts introduced its new hotel in Singapore. On April 14, 2011 the hotel group announced the unofficial opening of its first hotel in Singapore - Moevenpick Heritage Hotel Sentosa, which full operation is scheduled for late 2011.

The five-star hotel overlooking the South China Sea and the Merlion Park is located in the heart of Sentosa Island - Singapore's newest amusement park. The interiors of Moevenpick Hotels & Resorts developed by the world-renowned Japanese design firm Super Potato, combine historic colonial flavor and modern spirit of the country.

The hotel, consisting of the two separate buildings, the Heritage wing, located in historic building of the colonial style, built in the 40-s of the twentieth century, and a new Contemporary wing of modern architecture will provide guests with high quality services, which will satisfy even the most demanding customers.

At the initial stage was opened a modern wing, where located elegantly decorated rooms and suites, bars and restaurants, recreational and entertainment facilities for business meetings and conferences.

In a modern Moevenpick Heritage Hotel Sentosa building there are 105 decorated Deluxe rooms. 19 Onsen Suite, 3 Executive Suite and 2 Penthouse Suite will be opened later in 2011. A distinctive feature of all Onsen suites will be comfortable patios equipped with traditional Japanese barrel baths. Each Penthouse suite will have its own rooftop pool.

All rooms are equipped with high-speed wireless internet and flat screen LCD TV with integrated media system.

Refreshments are now available at the Library - a cozy lounge, where guests can relax and enjoy snacks and refreshments in a pleasant relaxing ambiance, or in a Tea Lounge, which is located in the glass crossing, which connects the two wings of the hotel, where are offered breakfasts and international menus.

Singapore's leading position as a popular all year round venue for business meetings and conferences means that the hotel will certainly be popular for business tourism. Grand Ballroom of the hotel with natural light (windows from floor to ceiling) has no columns, which makes possible innovative use of interior space.

Opening of the fully restored historic Heritage building, scheduled for the end of 2011, will add to the hotel fund 61 spacious rooms and suites, as well as restaurants and bars.

Heritage wing will house an outdoor 24h dining restaurant, Whisky Bar and Cigar Lounge. In addition, a unique hotel concept allows guests to enjoy the food menu, composed by special orders.

Its ideal location provides guests with a wide variety of opportunities. They can walk to the complex Resorts World Sentosa, including Universal Studios and the casino, and those, who want to see the maximum possible benefit from high-speed monorail Sentosa Express, which station Imbiah is located in front of hotel enter.
