Ritz-Carlton: new hotels in China

Ritz-Carlton continues its expansion into the Chinese market. The following cities, where the famous hotel brand will present its hotels will be Dalian and Wuhan.

Contract on managing two new hotels was signed between Ritz-Carlton and a major Chinese developer Shanghai Greenland Group.

Both hotels will be built on the tops of skyscrapers. For the Ritz-Carlton such projects are not new. Not so long ago the corporation introduced the first such hotel in China - Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong, which was named the highest hotel in the world. Hotel in Hong Kong is located on several floors of the Tower of the international commercial center.

Both new hotels will be only a little bit lower than the Hong Kong hotel. Ritz-Carlton Wuhan will be located on the upper floors of the 606-meter skyscraper Wuhan Greenland Center. Ritz-Carlton Dalian will be located from 64 to 81 floors in the building of the 518-meter Dalian Greenland Center. Thus, both hotels will be located in the tallest buildings in Dalian and Wuhan.

Both hotels will be opened in 2016. The Ritz-Carlton Wuhan will include 330 rooms, swimming pools, meeting and conference rooms with the total area of 2500 square meters, spa and fitness center and restaurants.

Dalian Ritz-Carlton hotel will be designed for 300 rooms. The range of its services will be almost similar to the hotel in Wuhan.

With the opening of hotels in Dalian and Wuhan Ritz-Carlton will increase its portfolio in China in 2016 up to 16 hotels.

Creation of new hotels in the high-rise buildings is a continuation of close cooperation between the Ritz-Carlton and Shanghai Greenland Group. Currently, the developer is the owner of three hotels that are managed by Ritz-Carlton brand in China.
