Hilton acquired a new hotel in Croatia

Hilton Hotel Corporation continues to enhance its portfolio in Southern Europe. Recently the company announced that it signed an agreement with the Croatian company B.P Pluto d.o.o, according to which in the capital of Croatia Zagreb will open a new hotel of the network.

The new hotel under the DoubleTree by Hilton brand will be presented in Zagreb in 2012. The hotel will be a part of the shopping and entertainment complex, which construction is carried out in Zagreb by B.P Pluto d.o.o.

The hotel, which Hilton intends to open in spring, will become the first hotel of the network in the capital of Croatia. It will be located in close proximity to the historic center of Zagreb near the Gornji Grad and Donji Grad districts.

For the company new DoubleTree by Hilton hotel will be the second project, which currently developed and planned to be opened in Croatia. Another DoubleTree hotel Hilton plans to present in Split. Hilton Marjan Split is also under construction.

Hilton has been presented on the Croatian market for 6 years. Hilton stared business here in 2005, when it bought one of the best hotels in the country - Imperial Hotel in Dubrovnik. Today the hotel is known as the Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik and is considered as one of the main tourist attractions of the Dalmatian resort.

DoubleTree by Hilton in Zagreb will continue to develop the concept of the hotel brand, which main goal is to attract the attention of business travelers to network services. 800 square meters of the hotel territory will be given to the conference rooms. Also in the DoubleTree by Hilton Zagreb hotel are available a spacious lounge area, restaurant, spa complex, gym, swimming pool and sauna.

DoubleTree by Hilton is a relatively new Hilton product, which was introduced in Europe in 2008. To date 23 brand hotels offer its services in 10 countries of the Old World. Recently the Balkans became one of the key regions for the DoubleTree by Hilton brand development. Apart from Croatia, under development are hotel projects in Bulgaria, Romania and Montenegro.
