Hong Kong is the main financial center of Asia, which offers a lot of hotel properties. If any leading international network is not represented in Hong Kong, most likely, it is not a leading one. Hong Kong still remains a place of all sorts of innovations in the hotel business. Among the latest innovations of the city are capsule hotels.

Demand for budget accommodation reached Hong Kong. Capsule hotel is a concept that was spread in Japan and not so long ago represented in the heart of the Chinese economic miracle.

Galaxy Stars Ltd is the company, which first introduced on the city’s market an ultra budget proposal to stay in Hong Kong. According to the CNN website cnngo.com, the area of a standard room in the capsule hotel company does not exceed 2 square meters (90cmX180cm). It should be noted that a standard capsule-room is designed for low Asians and may vary at the client’s request. The average room price will be about $3.500 Hong Kong dollars.

It should be noted that now Galaxy Stars Ltd does not offer its services, but only studies the demand. Therefore tourists can’t book a room in this hotel yet. The company’s managing director Eric Wong said that the hotel still operates as a "showroom". In the near future Mr. Wong plans to cooperate with the partnering hotel in Hong Kong, which can agree to host the first capsule hotel.

Among the areas, which the company considers as the best for the hotel, were sounded Yao Ma Tei, Xim Sha Xui and Mong Kok that are the most popular among tourists.

Hong Kong is one of those Asian cities, which regularly faces the problem of free hotel rooms. In summer and during the exhibition season it is quite difficult to find a room in the city.

Anyway, Hong Kong company Galaxy Stars Ltd doesn’t plan to stop. Its management plans to create a network of capsule hotels throughout China in big cities near the railway stations. In case of success the company intends to enter the markets of other countries in South-East Asia.
