ITB 2012 in Berlin
(Hotels & Exhibitions)In early March Berlin will host one of the largest tourist exhibitions in the world - ITB 2012. Traditionally visitors of ITB 2012 can expect numerous stands of tour operators with tourist destinations and current trends in the tourism industry, seminars and conferences.
This year's partner country of the exhibition is Egypt, which is actually forced to create from scratch its image in the travel world, and for which the ITB 2012 is an ideal place for presentation of the new development strategy.
For the hotel industry ITB is an opportunity to present the latest products for common consumers and travel companies. Leading hotel operators participate in the exhibition on several fronts. Some of them are presented only by the corporate stands, while some companies will also be presented by separate hotels.
Tourism technology is one of the key themes for the ITB 2012. This year in Berlin will be presented a huge number of IT companies that create products for a particular tourism niche. In total 230 companies from 15 different countries will be presented at the ITB 2012. The importance of the exhibition is confirmed by the fact that all places devoted to IT-tourism were booked by December 2011.
The main hotel industry event of the exhibition promises to be the ITB Hospitality Day - an event, where the main development trends will be discussed by the managers of the leading hotel companies in the world. Among the key themes will be strengthening of hotel brands, security problems in hotels, as well as consolidation of the leading online booking portals. The latest issue promises the most fierce discussion because of such recent large-scale event as purchase of the leading German shopping portal hotel.de by another hotel operator HRS Hotel Reservation Service, as well as entering the world online market the largest search engine Room Key, which unites offers from the leading hotel chains of the world, including Hilton Worldwide, Hyatt Hotels Corporation, InterContinental Hotels Group, Marriott International and Wyndham Hotel Group.
ITB 2012 will last from 7 to 11 March. The first three days of the exhibition will be devoted to the professionals. On March 10 and 11 Messe Berlin pavilions will be opened to the public.

Hotel Show 2012 in Dubai
Hotel Show 2012, one of the largest exhibitions of the hotel industry in the Middle East, will be held from 15 to 17 May, 2012 in Dubai. This year the exhibition will be held for the 13th times.
