The Spanish hotel chain RIU Hotels & Resorts opens its sixth hotel in Morocco. Riu Palace Tikida hotel will be presented at the Agadir resort on March 26, 2012.

New hotel in Morocco for RIU Hotels & Resorts will be developed by the local company Tikida Group, which has established close partnership with the Spanish hotel chain since 2002.

Riu Palace Tikida Agadir is a huge hotel complex located directly at the beachfront of Agadir. The total number of rooms in the hotel is 444. Riu Palace Tikida will complement the company's impressive line of hotels in Agadir, which today is represented by the ClubHotel Riu Tikida Dunas, Riu Tikida Beach Resort and Riu Grand Palace Tikida Golf.

The hotel will be designed for the family travelers, while its potential customers will be Spanish, Germans, as well as lovers of the Moroccan sun from Scandinavia and France.

The hotel will offer its guests a charming garden, fitness and spa facilities, open air heated pools for adults and children, an indoor swimming pool, hammam, massage rooms and saunas. In addition the gigantic hotel will also include four restaurants, entertainment center and mini club for children.
Riu Palace Tikida Agadir hotel will work on "all inclusive" system.

However Morocco’s tourist image worsened due to the numerous revolutions in other Arab countries in North Africa, it tries to quickly regain the attention of both tourists and foreign investors. Opening of Riu Palace Tikida Agadir also proves this fact.

Today Morocco has developed a tourism favoring state program - Vision 2020. Opening of several hotels of the Spanish network in Agadir became possible thanks to this program.

RIU Hotels & Resorts hotel business is owned by the Rio family. The company focuses on "all inclusive" hotels. It is is among the 30 largest hotel chains in the world with 100 hotels in 19 countries.
