Orient Express: new hotel in the Inca capital

After three years of laborious and expensive restoration English luxury hotel network Orient Express has opened a new five-star hotel Beaterio de Las Nazarenas in the Peruvian city of Cusco, known as the old capital of the Inca state. The long restoration is explained by the fact that the new hotel is located in an old mansion built in 1715. By the way, the beginning of the XVIII century in Cusco is known as the flowering of classical Spanish colonial architecture.

On March 8, 2012 was held a festival to celebrate the end of the project, which Orient Express company considers to be the pearl of its chain in Peru (to date it already owns five hotels across the country). The first visitors will be able to stay in Beaterio de Las Nazarenas on June 15. They will be offered 55 magnificent rooms, including 16 apartments, 29 suites, 9 large suites and a Nazarenas Suite. Any room window offers a great view of the Cusco Cathedral on the Plaza de Armas and the archaeological complex of Sacsayhuaman.

Orient Express pays particular attention to the cuisine presented in Beaterio de Las Nazarenas. The hotel restaurant will specialize exclusively in Peruvian dishes. All products will be purchased only from local farmers, no one ingredient produced outside of Peru will not be used. It should be noted that Peruvian cuisine had a major impact on the culinary tastes of most South America countries. The restaurant will be headed by the famous chef Virgilio Martinez. The cost of lunch or dinner of three courses will be about 45 Euro (excluding drinks). The prices for hotel accommodation will start from 595 Euros per day. This price also includes breakfast and butler service.
