Hotels in Morocco

Morocco is a kingdom in the north-west Africa, which is rightfully called a legend of the world tourism. Hotels at Morocco resorts in Marrakesh, Fez, Rabat or Tangier give the tourists the opportunity to holiday in a country, which is considered to be the pearl of the Arab Africa.

It can be said that particular fashion for Morocco came from beatnik writers, who traveled to Morocco in late 50-es. Then it was strengthened by the legendary Rolling Stones musicians, who in early 60-es of the 20th century for a long time travelled around the country and sought inspiration in local music.

Since then Morocco has grown into a recognized tourist destination in Africa. Most of its hotels are now located in the south, the so-called golden triangle, whose vertices are the cities of Agadir, Marrakech and Ouarzazate. Quality service in Morocco can be found both in chain hotel, which are widely presented here in all their diversity, and in hotels of the local companies.

Hotels in Morocco use standard European star certification. However, given into account Eastern features, you should not rely too much on the fact that the declared level of the hotel will be similar to the actual. In Morocco there is no strict control of the state of the hotel quality, which is present, for example, in France. Therefore, classification of local hotels is rather relative. In 5* hotel you may not find a hairdryer, which is mandatory for hotels of this level, and in 3* hotels rooms can be cleaned only once a week. Nevertheless, the overall level of service in Moroccan hotels is higher than in hotels of other tourist countries of North Africa such as Egypt or Tunisia.
Among hotels in Morocco are its own legends. For example, La Mamounia hotel, which at various times was visited by Churchill, mentioned above Rolling Stones and dozens of world-renowned representatives of the world show business.

Morocco is a former French colony. Therefore, apart from the official Arabic language here is used French. English is also spoken. Staff of almost all Moroccan 4-5* hotels speaks French and English.

Morocco is an Islamic country, but of the "lite" version. Rules here are often even less stringent than in Egypt. Restrictions on sale of alcohol in Morocco are introduced only during the holy month of Ramadan and only for the local population. Foreigners showing a passport can buy alcohol at any time.
