Another popular form of recreation on Malta is scuba diving. Diving on Malta is offered by many hotels. Some hotels have their own instructors and some hotels arrange diving on its beaches. Availability of diving in the hotel can be identified when booking. Sometimes on Malta hotels are located near diving schools, which service its customers. 

Swimming season in Malta is traditional for holiday in the Mediterranean. It begins in mid-May and ends in October. On Malta October is a month for the pensioners’ holidays.
