Portugal is a traditional summer holiday region in Europe. In Portugal is combined educational tourism to the numerous attractions of the country and excellent beach holidays on the Atlantic coast. There are agro mansions (Agroturismo), which offer an expanded package of services, including leisure activities, like horseback riding or excursions to the vineyards. There are aristocratic estates (Turismo de habitacao) in old casas, where once lived aristocratic dons.

Resorts in Portugal mostly adhere to the common price policy. Nevertheless, as in any other country, in Portugal there are places, which are particularly valued by the tourists. Among them are the country's capital Lisbon, the old port, Madeira Island - the birthplace of the famous fortified wine, the resort of Estoril near Lisbon and the province and city of Algarve: Albufeira, Monchique, Lagos and others.

Almost every resort in Portugal has its own formed reputation. The bulk of the resorts prefer to offer measured quiet holidays for family tourists. In this case, of course, in Portugal there are a number of youth resorts, including the already mentioned Albufeira. There are also special health regions, for example, Monchique. In Portugal are located several hotels, which are among the best hotels in the world. To date, Russia has direct flights to Portugal. Flights to Lisbon from Moscow's Domodedovo Airport are made five times a week by the Portuguese airline TAP Portugal.
