The old inn is a part of the museum “The Vlamish Inheritance” in Groede. On our terraces, the historical cafe or other museum elements, of which a beautiful library, you pass away to authentic ambiance of 1900. The inn offers several beautiful or funny collections. You will stay in historical inn-rooms (all comforts) or more modern hotel-apartments. This tasteful and historical inn is completely constructed from timber. Therefore, you might encounter some noise coming through. Here you will find perfect accommodation for groups or (management) trainings.

Food & beverage

The area is known for its fine taste and of course for its fish and mussels. We offer you a breakfast buffet and a small restaurant menu. There are 3 fine restaurants on the beautiful market square in Groede. The inn also offers a small historical "living-room" pub.

Historical inn-rooms with box-spring beds on the first and second floor. No lift available. (Garden)terraces. Separate living-room for hotel guests. Modern 1 room hotel-apartments with small kitchenette and separate shower and toilet-room.

Area information

The Flemish Inheretance offers you museums in nearly every house in the street. Groede is one of the most beautiful villages near the cost with beautiful surroundings for walk and bike. 15 minutes drive to Knokke and 25 minutes to Brugge. Close to natural park "'t Zwin". With the bike and person ferry (no cars) you can visit historical Middelburg and Vlissingen.

Route 2 Via Bergen op Zoom, Antwerpen, Zeeuws-Vlaanderen (this sign is after exit Stabroek), pass the Liefkenshoektunnel, exit Brugge (via N49 -Expressweg), exit Kaprijke/Breskens, Kaprilke, Watervliet, IJzendijke, Schoondijke, Breskens, Groede. Route 3 Via Breda, Antwerpen E 19, pass the Kennedytunnel, exit Hulst/Zelzate (via N49 - Expressweg), exit Kaprijke/Breskens, Kaprijke, Watervliet, IJzendijke, Schoondijke, Breskens, Groede. In Groede, you follow the signs "Het Vlaemsche Erfgoed"

The Inn is closed from Monday till Thursday from 1st November till Easter (excl holidays). Reservations during these periods are possible at minimum 3 rooms per request.
