Wotton House Dorking Description

The grand Wotton House is nestled in 13 acres of listed gardens in the Surrey countryside, 3 miles outside of Dorking. It boasts an indoor pool with a range of other leisure facilities, and a restaurant that sources local produce. Each classically styled room has a private bathroom with a bath and shower, with a TV and a safe in the room. Many rooms overlook the grounds, and all have a hairdryer and ironing facilities. Guests have free access to all Wotton House’s health facilities including gym, sauna, steam room, tennis courts and games room. The Orangery Bar opens on to the terrace, offering drinks, a bar menu and views of the gardens. Elegant Tempus Restaurant offers a creative, seasonal menu. Only 15 minutes’ drive from the Junction 9 of the M25, Wotton House is also a 30-minute drive from Epsom Racecourse and Gatwick Airport.

The health and fitness centre at Wotton House is exceptional and available to all adult guests of the hotel at no additional charge (please note the leisure centre is for use by over 18's only). It is clean and modern; purpose-built to provide all that you would expect from a leading health and fitness club. The facilities include: a heated indoor swimming; pool; whirlpool; sauna and steam room; state-of-the-art fitness centre; aerobics studio with sprung-floor; all-weather tennis court; and jogging trails. The conference centre is purpose built for conferencing and training and has many facilities on site. The conference centre also benefits from a business centre and 40 meeting rooms that hold up to 200 delegates. Dining arrangements are flexible to fit with the schedule of your conference. The culinary expertise of Principal Hayley's award-winning chefs is well known and should you require a light buffet for 180 delegates, table d'hôte dinner or private dining, great food is guaranteed.

With a commitment to using the freshest local produce, the chefs are continuously refreshing the restaurant's extensive menus, to offer the healthiest and tastiest dining options. They also search high and low to offer you a generous selection of wines to complement the dishes. Serving times: Breakfast: 07:00 to 09:00 Monday to Friday 08:00 to 10:00 Saturday and Sunday Lunch: 12:00 to 14:00 Dinner: 19:00 - 21:30. On weekends, the hotel normally offers bar snacks in the evenings, but not a full restaurant service. Please check at the time of booking.

Situated on the A25 between Guildford and Dorking, within easy reach of London and the main motorways, Wotton House is close to good transport links, enabling you to easily venture out in to the surrounding area. Main attractions include: Chessington World of Adventures (about 21 km) - A theme park with many rides for people of ages. Epsom Race Course (about 23 km) - Enjoy a variety of events including racing on the race course or events held in its conference facilities. Wisley Gardens (about 31 km) - Visit the 240 acres of landscaped gardens and half-timbered Tudor-style buildings. Open all year round (except for Christmas Day).

Travel information

By Car: - Take the M25 - Exit at junction 9. - Take the exit signposted A243/A24 Dorking. - Follow the A24 to Dorking. - At the traffic lights signposted A25 Gulidford, take the right filter. - At the mini-roundabout, turn left. - Follow the road to the end and turn right onto the A25, towards Guildford. - Continue along the A25, through the village of Westcott and travel into Wotton. - Past The Wotton Hatch Pub, turn immediately left. - It is approximately 10 miles and 20 minutes from the M25.

Important information

Those under the age of 18 years are not permitted to use the conference centre's leisure facilities. If paying on departure, the hotel will add an additional cost to payments made by credit card. On weekends, the hotel normally offers bar snacks in the evenings, but not a full restaurant service.
