Wyndham launches Planet Hollywood hotels

Planet Hollywood is now the brand, which will be known not only for its restaurants, but also because of its hotels. One of the largest hotel companies in the world Wyndham Hotel Group today announced the expansion of Planet Hollywood chain on the world markets.

The right to use the trademark Wyndham Hotel Group received in September 2010. At the same time, restaurant chain, which was popular in the 1990's, in 2001, announced about its bankruptcy. Nevertheless, Wyndham was considered a viable franchise and was brought back to the market 10 years later.

Currently in the nearest future Wyndham plans to open three hotels of Planet Hollywood in various parts of the world. One hotel company plans to introduce in Panama City, another one in the Qatari capital Doha, and finally, the last of the first three openings of the Wyndham network is to be introduced in China, at Boao resort on the island of Hainan.

It is expected that the first network of hotels will appear in 2014. It will be Planet Hollywood Hotel Entertainment City in Qatar and Planet Hollywood in downtown of Panama City. The first hotel will be designed for 300 rooms, the second for 309. As for the hotel in China, it will be designed for 350 rooms. This hotel promises to be a part of a large hotel and entertainment complex, which is currently under construction on Hainan.

It is worth noting that one hotel of Planet Hollywood already exists. It is located in the main U.S. gambling center Las Vegas. It is worth noting that Planet Hollywood Resort is not part of the network, which is managed by Wyndham.

Wyndham Hotel Group today has in its portfolio dozens of hotel brands that are well known in the U.S. and around the world. Among them are several well-known low- cost networks, including Travelodge, Days Inn, Super 8 Motels, bought in 2008 from Hyatt Microtel chain. In turn, hotels Planet Hollywood will be represented in Wyndham by resort-hotels.
