One of the largest Austrian hotel chains, Falkensteiner, has finally presented its new hotel complex in Croatia Falkensteiner Punta Skala Resort. The complex is located at the Petrčane resort near the town of Zadar, on the coast of the picturesque Punta Skala peninsula.

For Falkensteiner opening of Punta Skala Resort became one of the most anticipated events of the last decade. The complex has been constructed for almost eight years and cost about 160 million Euros.

Austrians are among the most frequent visitors of Croatian resorts. Therefore, tourists from Austria are traditionally very interested in their Balkan neighbor’s hotel industry. Punta Skala Resort project became for Falkensteiner the largest in Croatia and one of the most ambitious network’s projects in the world. It should be noted that part of the Punta Skala Resort was introduced several years earlier. However, the full opening took place on the eve of the 2012 summer season.

What is Punta Skala Resort? This is a super complex consisting of two hotels - Hotel & Spa Iadare 5* and Family Hotel Diadora 4*. The hotel company positions both hotels as the best resort hotel and best hotel for families with children in Croatia respectively. Hotel&Spa Iadare 5* Not so long ago was also included to the prestigious luxury hotel chain The Leading Hotels of the World. And, according to Holiday Check, in 2011 Family Hotel Diadora 4* was the best hotel in Croatia.

In addition to hotels Punta Skala Resort also includes residences and Senia apartments, which can be both bought or rented.

Among the innovations offered by Punta Skala Resort is Butterfly House, children swimming school Falky Swim Academy and children zoo in the Family Hotel Diadora. Hotel&Spa Iadare 5* has one of the largest spa areas in Croatia. The complex, where you can get a lot of spa treatments and body care services, has an area of 8 thousand square meters.
