The world-renowned luxury hotel chain Ritz-Carlton today, on June 21, 2010, has officially opened its second hotel in Shanghai - Ritz-Carlton Shanghai in business center of Pudong.

New hotel of Ritz-Carlton is located on 18 floors of the South Tower, which is located in the complex of international financial center in Shanghai. The hotel is designed for 285 rooms. The area of the smallest number of the new hotel is 50 square meters. The largest room in Ritz-Carlton Shanghai is 400 square meters. Three floors of the new hotel are special club rooms, each of which has access to a special lounge area on the 49th floor of the South Tower.

The hotel's design was developed by the Argentine architect Cesar Pelli, and British interior designer Richard Farnell. Among the features that the hotel offers its guests is Wellness Center Ritz-Carlton Spa by ESPA, located on the 55th floor of South Tower skyscraper. Also there is one of the largest banquet rooms in Shanghai (1135 square meters), Italian and Chinese restaurants and a restaurant on the roof, a design which is made by the Japanese Agency of Super Potato.

Shanghai is one of the key centers of business activity in Asia. The exclusivity of Shanghai for business tourism is in the fact that in 2010 there is held the world's largest exhibition EXPO-2010.
