Jean-Paul Herzog, the former president of Hilton Hotels Middle East and Africa, has become a new member of the board of directors of the largest hotel chain in Turkey - Dedeman Hotels & Resorts.

Jean-Paul Herzog has 40-year experience in the tourism industry. The hotel market in Turkey is also not new for him. Previously Mr. Herzog served as general manager of Hilton hotels in Ankara and Izmir. He also headed the division of the Hilton in Turkey.

When Jean-Paul Herzog was president for the Middle East direction he operationally managed 45 hotels and monitored 32 projects of future hotels of the Hilton chain. In addition, Herzog has experience in the European market. Jean-Paul Herzog was president of the famous brand of Scandinavian hotels - Scandic.

According to the head of Dedeman Hotels & Resorts International Murat Dedeman, new experienced specialist in the board of directors “will greatly help in expanding the presence of Dedeman both in the market of hotels in Turkey and in the international arena”.

To date, Dedeman Hotels & Resorts is one of the fastest growing hotel chains in Turkey. The first hotel of the network was opened in 1966 in Ankara, but the most active development of Dedeman began in the late 1990's. Today hotels are to be found in Istanbul, Antalya and Bodrum. Outside Turkey Dedeman Hotels can be found in Tashkent, Sofia, Plovdiv, Damascus and Palmyra.
