Hotel giant Starwood presents in Florence hotel of a new luxury brand - St. Regis. The St. Regis Florence will be situated from now in the building, which previously was known as Grand Hotel Florence.
The opening of the renovated St. Regis hotel was preceded by a large-scale restoration. It took 10 months to return the building its luxurious entourage and historic grandeur.
The former Grand Hotel in Florence was considered to be one of the most exciting and historically important buildings of the ancient Italian town. The hotel was designed in 1432 by the architect Filippo Brunelleschi. It was the first and for a long time the only luxury hotel in Florence.
The renovated St. Regis Florence will offer its guests 81 luxurious rooms and 19 suites, including the unique designer suite, which was decorated by Bottega Veneta, the Italian fashion house, which is famous for manufacturing leather goods.
Frescos, paintings, designer furniture, special colors, using of graphic elements in room design to create the atmosphere of the Medici and the Renaissance era - all this is presented in a new hotel St. Regis Florence. All rooms are named after some legendary Italian personality, whether it is a painter, an actor or a gentleman.
