First Sheraton hotel in Madrid

Hotel giant Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc introduced its new hotel in Madrid. It is Sheraton Madrid Mirasierra Hotel & Spa - the first Sheraton hotel in the Spanish capital. Starwood will act as management company, while the hotel is owned by the Spanish company Comercial Mirasierra Group.

The hotel is located in the luxury district Colonia Mirasierra known for its numerous luxury hotels and villas. Sheraton Madrid Mirasierra Hotel & Spa is designed for different groups of tourists. The total number of rooms in the hotel is 180. Hotel clients can also use a business center with total area of 13 thousand square meters., indoor and outdoor pools, telecommunication center Link@Sheraton, bars by the pools, lounge bar, specially designed beds Sheraton Sweet Sleeper(R), restaurants working all day long.
The hotel participates in the loyalty program Starwood Preferred Guest, which allows its guests to accumulate points that can be used for booking of hotel accommodation around the world.

Another plus of Sheraton Madrid Mirasierra Hotel & Spa is proximity to the key transport hubs and meeting places of the business community in Madrid. IFEMA Congress and Convention Centre is located just few minutes walk from the hotel. Transfer from hotel to the Barajas international airport terminal in Madrid takes only 15 minutes.

Opening of the first Sheraton Hotel in Madrid was part of Starwood expansion to the European, African and Middle East markets. By the end of 2015 Sheraton plans to open 60 hotels around the world.

Currently Starwood portfolio in Spain consists of 16 hotels, including the famous "sail" of Barcelona - W Barcelona hotel. Sheraton brand in Spain possesses hotels on Majorca and the Canary Islands. From now on Starwood will have two hotels in Madrid. New Sheraton will be added to luxury Westin Palace.
