Hotels in Vaduz, Liechtenstein, Triesen, Malbun
Liechtenstein is one of the smallest countries in Europe with one of the highest prices for everything, including hotels. Hotels in Liechtenstein remain faithful to the German quality, Austrian attentiveness and Swiss gloss. The reason is simple. Liechtenstein shares borders with only two countries - Austria and Switzerland.
Liechtenstein is a mountainous country. So, here you can find lots of small chateaus and cottage hotels in the Alps. They are preferred mostly by tourists and climbers, who explore local peaks. The total number of tourist hiking routes in Liechtenstein is over 150 kilometers, while the territory of the state is slightly more than 160 square kilometers.
The capital of Vaduz, Triesen and Schaan are Liechtenstein cities, which hotels receive the main number of tourists in the country.
Tours in Liechtenstein are popular among those tourists, who mostly spend vacations in Switzerland or Austria. Nevertheless, one day, which is usually devoted to sightseeing in Liechtenstein, may not be enough. Liechtenstein Postal Museum, which keeps one of the most expensive collection of postage stamps in the world, ski museum, the prince's castle, Liechtenstein Museum of Art with works by Rembrandt and Rubens, the Rhine valley, picturesque villages and one of European finest panoramas - these are not all famous features of Liechtenstein.
Hotels in Liechtenstein offer holidays for ski amateurs. The main and the only ski resort in Liechtenstein is Malbun.
Small size of Liechtenstein determines its hotel landscape. There are no giant business complexes or huge resort hotels. The main part of Liechtenstein hotels is designed for 20-30 rooms, which are called guesthouses. Such "toy" size of these hotels brings to mind tales of the Brothers Grimm. Such hotels located in old wooden and stone mansions offer visitors the opportunity to see the most complete picture of the country, its life and people.
