Opening of Hyatt in Yekaterinburg is delayed

New Hyatt in Yekaterinburg is not yet able to receive its first guests. Five star Hyatt Regency Yekaterinburg, the opening of which was announced on April 26, worked in test mode during the last month. It was expected that the hotel will start receiving guests on 15 March. However, for several reasons the reception of the first guests has been postponed.

We remind that the construction of a new Hyatt in Yekaterinburg was timed to the forthcoming summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), which will be held in Russia. The SCO Summit will be held in Yekaterinburg in the first half of 2009. New Hyatt hotel, on the intent of the organizers, should become the main hotel of the summit.

To date the management of Hyatt Regency Yekaterinburg justifies the rescheduling of opening by need of hotel staff training in accordance with the standards of Hyatt hotel chain. Hotel staff receives additional training. According to Hyatt, the hotel will be able to receive its first guests in early April. Presidential Suite, which is located on the 19 floor of the hotel, will be finally ready in the end of April.

The construction project of Hyatt Regency Yekaterinburg was implemented by Russian industrial giants - the Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company. The foundation of new hotel in Yekaterinburg was laid in 2005. Construction works were carried out by the French company. Agreement on the management of the hotel by Hyatt group was signed in 2006.

Hyatt Regency Yekaterinburg today - is one of the most reputable hotels Urals. There are 21 floors in the Hyatt Regency Yekaterinburg. Total number of rooms is 296, among which several classes of Hyatt apartments are represented: City View, Regency Suite, Deluxe Twin and King.
