Another hotel chain from Asia has announced its intention to begin the expansion of the hotel markets of the region. Tune Hotels, owned by the budget air line company of Malaysia, AirAsia, has announced its intention to open over 60 hotels in Thailand, India, Indonesia and the Philippines. To date, the chain consists of seven hotels: five hotels in Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Kuching, Kota Kinabalu on Borneo) and two hotels in Bali (in Kuta and Legian). Tune Hotels plans to build new hotels by 2013, according to Business Times Singapore.

The Asian region is not a single priority in the developer policy of Tune Hotels. New hotels in London and Melbourne are also among the short-range plans of the company. Due to the fact that AirAsia has recently launched flights to the UK and Australia, the development of the hotel chain in major cities of these countries, according to Tune Hotels, can bring significant dividends in the near future.

Building hotels in China and Singapore is among long-run prospects of Tune Hotels

The concept of Tune Hotels - budget hotels, which offer the maximum that economy class hotels can afford: rooms with shower, cable TV, safe custody, courteous staff and cleanliness.

Budget hotels have become an urgent topic in the modern hospitality industry against the background of global financial crisis and a downturn in the segment of luxury hotels. Tune Hotels assert that their level of service may be appropriate not only for backpackers, but also for business travelers, who are not willing to pay extra fee for additional services, but at the same time expect the comfortable living conditions.

Long-term policy of Tune Hotels also foresees opening of the hotels in 120 cities in Asia, Europe and Australia. To date it is geography of AirAsia flights.
