Hotel in Spain by Antonio Banderas - sounds like a real exotics. Meanwhile, the famous Hollywood macho seriously thinks about building the hotel on its vineyards in the north of Spain. Antonio Banderas wants to hold conferences for winemakers in the new hotel, in order to share with them his experience in the production of wine. This is what the actor said in a recent interview with Spanish newspaper El Mundo.

Also during the interview Antonio Banderas mentioned that he would like to revive the production of wine and plans to increase the production from 600 thousand bottles a year to 2 million. The new hotel, according to Banderas’ plan, will be able to simultaneously perform several functions: to bring income as a tourist real estate and serve as additional advertising to his brand wines. Banderas does not hide his ambitions and firmly expects to strengthen the position in the markets of Spain and Europe, and then enter the wine market of the U.S.

Banderas intends to build a hotel in the heart of "Anta Banderas" – this is how the vineyards, which belong to the superstar are called. The total area of "Anta Banderas" - over 250 hectares.

Banderas’ vineyards are located on the banks of the Duero River. In Spain, this well-known wine region is called Ribera del Duero. Its center is the small town of Aranda de Duero in the province of Burgos. Banderas’ Vineyard, which are located here, produce red and rose wines, including different varieties of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Not so long ago the region Ribera del Duero launched a massive campaign "Drink Ribera, Drink Spain" to promote their wines to the U.S. market. Among the most striking promotions of Ribera del Duero last time – the presentation of the region at the International Wine Exhibition in Miami.
