The world-famous designer Philippe Starck, introduced its first hotel in Italy in December 2009. It is a new hotel in Venice - Palazzina Grassi. This one belongs to boutique class and has 26 rooms, where in right angles, dominance of one color and an abundance of glass in the interior - a classic style of Stark is easy recognized.

The building, where Palazzina Grassi is located, is a historic mansion of the 15th century, which had previously been known as a villa, used by noble Romans for recreation. In addition to the architectural value and unique design the location of new Venetian hotel is very remarkable. Palazzina Grassi is situated on the embankment of the main artery of Venice - the Grand Canal. In the immediate vicinity of the hotel the key attractions of Venice, museums and galleries are located.

The most impressive room is the F-suite – the personal room of Stark - with wooden beams, slanting roof and stunning views of the canals and palazzi of Venice. All rooms are equipped with the latest equipment, including LCD TVs and access to the World Wide Web.

The unique interior and name of the famous designer allowed the hotel to become a member of Design Hotels – a hotel chain, which unites hotels with unique interiors around the world. Only two other hotels in Venice are owned by this chain - Hotel Ca 'Pisani near the Ponte dell'Accademia and the Guggenheim Gallery and Hotel Palazzo Barbarigo Sul Canal Grande near the Rialto Bridge and the Pisani-Moretta Palazzo.

Philippe Starck – is one of the most famous hotel designers in the world. He became known due to the design of hotels in New York, Miami, Hong Kong and other cities. Design solutions by Stark formed the basis of the latest fashion brand W hotels, which represents a transnational giant - Starwood Hotels & Resorts on the world market.
