In New Zealand in the hotel market is available a unique proposal. Hotel is sold with a whole village, which includes in addition to the hotel pub, fire station, administration building and 18 houses, where now live 40 people.

The small village Otira in the mountains of South Island in New Zealand was acquired in 1998 by a family couple Bill and Christine Henna for 80 000 NZ dollars. They decided save tiny village from ruining. Otira is surrounded by picturesque Southern New Zealand Alps near the Arthur National Park. Founded in 1923, the village had already experienced an era of prosperity. At one time Otira had more than 600 residents. Today Otira is the only settlement for many miles around, where tourists traveling through the mountains of New Zealand can find accommodation and meals.

After Bill and Christine Henna bought the village, the main source of income was a hotel located in Otira. Now, however, in an interview with the New Zealand press Henna reported that they are quite old and it is hard for them to administer the hotel. So, reluctantly, they agreed to sell the hotel to anyone who would be willing to give him 350 000 New Zealand dollars. Quadruple difference with the original price, it seems, shows the deep sorrow and regret experienced by Bill and Christine at the thought of parting with their beloved offspring. Moreover, they are ready to sell the hotel with the village. In that case, the transaction price will be 1 million NZ dollars.

In this case, Bill and Christina continue to dream about the ideal, in their view, the buyer. This should be a 40-year-old married couple, preferably with children who would grow up here and help parents restore wiping.

It is worth noting that Henna family does not plan to leave the village. They intend to settle in the former school building, which they want to transform into a cozy family cottage. "This is quite a peculiar way of life" - quoted Bill and Christine New Zealand press.

If I had the money, I would buy the village, what a great view, especially in winter.
