Another hotel in Malaysia's of the InterContinental Hotels Group corporation will appear in the capital city of Kuala Lumpur on February 1, 2011. It will be the rebuilt in accordance with requirements of the brand the formerly luxury Nikko Hotel Kuala Lumpur, which was known as one of the most expensive and reputable in Malaysia.

The new name, which will receive the hotel, is InterContinental Kuala Lumpur. Before opening, InterContinental Kuala Lumpur experienced a major reconstruction, which lasted for two and a half years. The hotel will retain the status of "5 stars".

The new InterContinental Kuala Lumpur offers guests 473 rooms, a large set of services, including fine restaurants, a spa with traditional Asian techniques, a large fitness center and convenient location. The hotel is located in the prestigious Jalan Ampang district in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. Ten minutes' drive separates the hotel from a shopping center Putra World Trade Centre, an hour will take you to reach the international airport of Kuala Lumpur.

Malaysian hotel market today is one of the fastest growing. Malaysia, along with Thailand, is considered to be one of the largest tourist destinations in Southeast Asia. InterContinental Hotels Group is seeking to strengthen its presence in the market, where the tourist flow is over 30 million people per year. Currently the network is represented in Malaysia by Crowne Plaza Mutiara and Holiday Inn hotels in Kuala Lumpur, as well as hotels at the resorts of Malacca, Kota Kinabalu and Penang. Today in the Asian-Pacific region IHG hotel chain operates by 50 hotels.
