Louvre Hotels-Golden Tulip hotel chain plans to build new hotels in China. The next area of expansion of the network will be the island of Hainan. Representatives of the Louvre Hotels-Golden Tulip signed a contract with a Chinese developer for the construction of two hotels on the island.

Hainan Island in southern China is gaining importance as a tourist center in Asia. Here is located one of the fastest growing resorts in China - Sanya. The dynamic growth of the tourist industry on Hainan was appreciated by many hotel chains. Hyatt, Hilton and other world grandees develop here its projects. Now came the turn of Louvre Hotels-Golden Tulip.

Construction of new hotels on Hainan is a part of Louvre Hotels-Golden Tulip plans of development in China. The plans of the company's management are to increase the presence of Louvre Hotels-Golden in China to 50 hotels by 2015.

According to the executive director of the network, Pierre-Frédéric Rulo, two hotels on Hainan are not the only projects that Louvre Hotels is planning to realize this year. It is expected that by the summer 2011 the company will present at least another 5 projects of new hotels.

According to the head of the network, Louvre Hotels-Golden Tulip plans to increase the presence in China of such brands as Royal Tulip, Golden Tulip and Tulip Inn. Also in the plans of the company is the promotion of budget hotels Premiere Classe and Campanile, which today are the leading hotel chains of economy class.

Louvre Hotels-Golden Tulip is a hotel chain, which is owned by the Starwood Capital hotel group. The chain includes the hotels of the French chain Louvre Hotels and the Dutch Golden Tulip. The latter was purchased by Louvre Hotels in 2009. The company is the eighth in the world on number of hotels. In 2011 Louvre Hotels intends to open another 120 hotels worldwide, including 40 hotels in France.
