The best Spanish family hotels 2012

Selecting of the best hotels of different classes became quite a common thing for the editors of the world famous Tripadvisor reviews portal. This time they evaluated Spanish hotels for families with children. According to the Tripadvisors Traveller's Choice rating compiled after millions reviews from different users, 9 of the 10 best family hotels in Spain are located on Mallorca.

The best family hotel in Spain 2012 became Protur Bonair Aparthotel at the Cala Bona resort on the east coast of Mallorca. The second place among the best family hotels in Spain won Aparthotel Playa Mar in Port de Pollensa known as the northernmost city of Mallorca. Another hotel - Coma Gran Aparthotel at the Sa Coma beach resort - was able to reach the third place.

The fourth place went to the Aparthotel Golden Avenida Suites hotel at the Salou resort near Tarragona. It is the only hotel among the best in Spain, according to Tripadvisor, which is not located on Mallorca.

It is noted that the list of the best family hotels in Spain was dominated by hotels from three resorts - Cala d'Or, Alcudia and Sa Coma. And three hotels from Alcudia resort were included into the top ten - Iberostar Cuidad, Iberostar Alcudia Park and Viva Sunrise.

The majority of the best family hotels in Spain are presented by apart-hotels, where living conditions remind traditional house or apartment.

In total the rating of the best family hotels in Spanish includes 25 hotels. In addition to Mallorca there are also hotels in Benidorm, the Canary Islands and Barcelona.

According to Tripadvisor, Mallorca retained the status of the best Spanish hotel region for the family tourists. 4 hotels from Majorca were included into the list of the 25 best family hotels in the world. Gran Sol in Cala Bona was on the 9th place, Inturotel Sa Marina and the Es Sivinar in Cala D'Or - on the 10th, Protur Sa Coma Playa Hotel & Spa and Protur Biomar Gran Hotel & Spa at the Sa Coma resort won 14th and 16th places respectively.
