Rozsíčka brings together three distinct themes to consider when planning a trip: its location in the valley of the Rozsíčský potok, historic buildings, and marked trails. When looking for a hotel, you can first consider whether you want to focus your stay mainly on architecture, landscape, or exploring on foot and by bike. The following points of reference can help you assess Rozsíčka as a destination and match your interests with the village’s distinctive features.

Landscape and Orientation

Rozsíčka lies in the valley of the Rozsíčský potok. The Crhov–Rozsíčka Site of Community Importance is also located in a stream valley, between Rozsíčka and Crhov. Halasovo Kunštátsko Nature Park includes all or part of Rozsíčka’s cadastral area. Kamperk, at 640 m, rises west of Rozsíčka. Its location and elevation can help you pinpoint the name on a map.

Rozsíčka is an oval-shaped village on the road from Olešnice via Sulíkov and Rudka to Kunštát. The village layout and the course of the road provide two more specific points of reference for geographical orientation.

Castle, Bell Tower, and Architecture

Rozsíčka Castle was built in 1828 and has retained its original basic form. It is a single-storey, six-bay building in the Empire style. The southeast entrance front is highlighted by a two-bay avant-corps. The number of bays describes the façade’s layout; an avant-corps is a section of the façade that projects outward. The construction date, style, and façade design can thus be considered as distinct aspects, rather than reducing the architecture to its year of construction alone.

Rozsíčka’s bell tower is a cultural monument. Its square ground plan and mansard roof, dating from the late 18th century, give it a different form and date from the castle. On the village green, it is a prominent feature that defines the space.

A chapel in a prominent location adds to the buildings that shape the village’s appearance. Preserved and well-maintained examples of vernacular architecture also include log buildings, whose walls are characterized by stacked beams.

Getting Around on Foot and by Bike

Rozsíčka has marked hiking trails and local cycling routes. When planning, you can first distinguish between your preferred ways of getting around: the markings refer to the hiking trails, while the local cycling routes are the point of reference for a bike ride. Check the route on an up-to-date map when planning your day’s itinerary.

A recreation area and a playground are located at the upper end of Rozsíčka. If you would like to include them in your day’s plans, check the current conditions on site in advance.

Select Rozsíčka as your search destination and check the specific location and amenities listed for each hotel offer.
