Újezd u Boskovic lies on the southwestern edge of the Drahanská vrchovina. The cadastral area includes 909 hectares of forest, accounting for 71 percent of its total area. Forest is therefore an essential part of the local landscape. The village is situated on terrain sloping southwest at an elevation of about 510 metres. A cascade of small forest ponds has also been restored in the woodland. This gives you specific landscape features to consider when choosing a destination: its location on the edge of the Drahanská vrchovina, the high proportion of forest, the approximate elevation and the restored cascade of ponds. If you would like to include cycling or hiking days in your stay, you can combine this information with the routes described below.

Cycling and Hiking Routes

Two route numbers are particularly relevant for cyclists. Cycling Route 5117 passes through the municipality, running from Boskovice nádr. via Kamenný žleb, Žďár and Petrovice to Blansko. The sequence of named places makes its course easy to follow and provides specific reference points for orientation. Cycling Route 5229 serves a different purpose: between Divoký žleb and Kamenný žleb, it connects Cycling Routes 5203 and 5117. This makes it possible to distinguish a route through several named places from a link between two numbered cycling routes. Cycling routes pass through the cadastral area and the built-up part of the municipality. The route numbers and place names provide practical guidance for identifying different sections and planning a cycling stay.

To the east of the municipality, a marked green hiking trail passes through the cadastral area. It runs from Blansko via Petrovice, Kuničky, Boskovice, Suchý and Žďárná to Sloup. Its markings and sequence of places provide specific reference points. This sets it apart from the numbered cycling routes: when deciding which activities to include in your stay, you can plan hiking and cycling using their respective routes.

Seasonal Koupaliště Leisure Centre

The Koupaliště leisure centre is a seasonal consideration when choosing your travel dates. During the summer months, it operates a swimming pool filled with treated drinking water. The leisure centre has toilets and an open snack bar; these facilities may be seasonal. If you plan to include Koupaliště in your trip, it is advisable to check its current operating status and the availability of facilities in advance.
