Some hotels in Germany were especially lucky. So, staying in the luxurious hotel on the island of Helgoland will not be available for everyone. Atoll hotel, which is known as the most respectable hotel on the island, was booked by the WindMW company for 10 years ahead. It has reserved all 50 rooms till 2023 starting from January 1, 2013.

Atoll hotel is one of the main tourist attractions of Helgoland. It was built in 1999 and since it opening has earned the status of the most respectable hotel of the island. Room prices at the hotel range from 85 to 150 Euros.

During the ten years here will be staying workers of the company that will build a wind power station near the Helgoland island.

But the Helgoland authorities are not satisfied with such situation. According to the Die Welt, the mayor of the island believes that unavailability of the best hotel of the island for the tourists during 10 years will have a negative impact on the Helgoland tourism industry.

The German edition also quotes the owner of the hotel Arne Weber, who notes that she actually had no choice because "no one can refuse from offer that generates income throughout the year".

Helgoland is a tiny island with total area of square kilometers. It is also part of the eponymous archipelago, which also includes a small area of the mainland. Until 1720 the two islands were united into one until a violent storm washed away the connecting earthfill. To attract tourists the island authorities are seriously considering the possibility of artificial reconstruction of the destroyed "bridge" between the islands.

Located 40 km from the coast of Schleswig-Holstein, the island of Helgoland is known as an offshore haven. In addition, it is a popular resort, although there are only two beaches on the island. The easiest way to get to the island is ferry from Cuxhaven and Bremerhaven.
