Kybong: Farm Tours, Workshops and Aviation

Woollahra Homestead offers a farm tour, farm and flower workshops, a paddock-to-plate dining experience featuring produce from its own Paddock Kitchen, as well as farm-made products and fresh produce for purchase. The Gympie Aerodrome is home to businesses providing flight training and aircraft maintenance; it is also home to the Gympie Aero Club, the Sunshine Coast Gliding Club and Gold Rush Skydiving. You can start planning your trip by deciding whether your interests are in farming, food or aviation.

Woollahra Homestead: Farm, Workshops and Food

The offerings at Woollahra Homestead vary in format. The farm tour is different from the farm and flower workshops, which focus on agriculture and flowers, respectively. The paddock-to-plate dining experience is another option, served from its own Paddock Kitchen. To choose, it helps to distinguish between a tour, a themed workshop and a dining experience. For the workshops, you can also decide whether you are more interested in agriculture or flowers.

Check the current arrangements for the farm tour and workshops before visiting. For the dining experience, also check current booking or event arrangements. This lets you prepare for the specific type of offering, rather than planning for all formats as if they were the same kind of visit.

Farm Products and Seasonal Produce

Visitors can buy farm-made products and fresh produce at Woollahra Homestead. Unlike the farm tour or workshops, shopping plans depend primarily on the product range and its seasonal availability, which can change. If particular products are important to you, ask about the current selection in advance. This lets you include shopping as a separate part of your plans.

Gympie Aerodrome: Aviation in Kybong

Gympie Aerodrome is located at 20 Lobwein Road in Kybong. Businesses providing flight training and aircraft maintenance are based there. The Gympie Aero Club, the Sunshine Coast Gliding Club and Gold Rush Skydiving are also based at the aerodrome. Aviation-related activities there therefore include both businesses in training and maintenance, and organisations focused on an aero club, gliding and skydiving.

Flight training and aircraft maintenance are different from club activities, gliding and skydiving; the site brings together several kinds of aviation-related activity. If you are planning a specific activity at the aerodrome, confirm visiting or booking arrangements directly with the relevant provider in advance.

Tailor Your Stay to Your Plans

Are you most interested in farming or flowers, a dining experience or an aviation-related activity? Local offerings differ in content and format; you do not need to treat them as one combined programme. Choose the focus that matters for your trip, then compare hotels according to your own requirements.
