These topics answer different travel-planning questions—whether you are interested in water infrastructure, a trail or an activity.

Canals and water infrastructure

From Pelican Waters Boulevard Park, you can enjoy views of the canals. Walking paths connect different parts of the park. This gives you both a specific landscape feature and paths within the park grounds.

The Pelican Waters Lock allows boat traffic between Pelican Waters Northern Lake and Lamerough Canal. It also regulates the water level in Pelican Waters Northern Lake. The park and the lock therefore offer different ways to experience the water: canal views and walking paths at the park, and boat traffic between two named bodies of water and water-level regulation at the lock.

Out and about along Lamerough Creek

The Lamerough Creekside Walk is an easy, 1.9 km one-way route for walking and cycling. It follows Lamerough Creek and passes through the Lamerough Creek West Environmental Reserve. Its length, easy rating and two listed activities help you assess the route based on specific features.

When planning, also note that the route is one-way: it is not described as a loop. Trail conditions can change, so check them before setting out. This lets you account for both the stated route format and the conditions that matter for your intended use.

Parks and maps for finding your way

Jensen Park has two locations. The larger one is on Bells Esplanade in Pelican Waters, and the second is at June Street and Esplanade in Golden Beach. A walking path and a bridge connect the two locations. If you use this park to help find your way around, distinguish between the locations by where they are: Bells Esplanade is the Pelican Waters location, while June Street and Esplanade is the Golden Beach location.

The Sunshine Coast Active Travel Maps help you navigate the Sunshine Coast on foot, by bike and by bus, from Peregian Springs to Pelican Waters. Map 4 runs from Birtinya to Pelican Waters. The routes shown are suggestions and may become outdated. Check the maps before relying on a particular route for your plans.

A leisure option with clear details

Greg Norman Design Mini-Golf offers an 18-hole mini golf course that requires no golfing experience. This is described differently from the Lamerough Creekside Walk: mini golf is defined by the number of holes and the golf experience required, while the walk is described by its length, one-way format and easy rating. These differences help you compare leisure options by type of activity. Booking conditions can change, so check them before visiting.
