Dolany itself lies on the left bank, so the village and the lock canal are located on opposite sides of the river. The movable weir at Dolany uses the Libčice hydroelectric power plant to generate hydroelectricity. Sports and Routes by the Club Grounds

The TJ Sokol Dolany grounds include a football pitch, two tennis courts and a floodlit multi-purpose field with artificial turf. A railway stop, as well as cycling and hiking trails, are also located close to the grounds.
