Jíloviště is considered one of the starting points for tourism in the Podbrdsko region.

Activities

The public sports grounds in Jíloviště include a workout area, a children's playground, a pump track and an artificially surfaced court for small-sided football and tennis. The grounds also include a loop trail, parking spaces and a lawn area.

The public sports grounds are freely accessible. Admission to the artificial multi-purpose court is subject to a fee, which can be paid through the municipality's online payment system.

The sports grounds are open from April to October. If conditions are favorable, they may also be open in winter.

The facilities thus range from a workout area and a children's playground through a pump track and court to a loop trail, parking spaces and a lawn area. The different areas and separate admission conditions provide context for how the facilities are used.

Trails and Landscape

Route 4, “Along the Royal Trail,” begins at the intersection by the Jíloviště municipal office and follows the red-marked cycle path toward Černolice.

The hike from Jíloviště via Černolické skály can follow an 11-kilometer route to Všenory or a 17-kilometer continuation to Dobřichovice. It is predominantly flat and passes through a natural environment.

The two distance figures represent different endpoints and distances; this distinction is complemented by the shared description of a predominantly flat route through a natural environment.

In the immediate vicinity of Jíloviště are Vršky Hill [Klínec] and Babka Hill [Černošice]. Karlštejn Castle and Doutnáč Mountain are also located in the surrounding area.

History and Culture

Jíloviště was situated on one of the main roads of the Kingdom of Bohemia, the historic Golden Road. Merchants, marching armies and processions traveled along this road.

The Zbraslav–Jíloviště hill climb is now continued as a two-day gathering of historic vehicles. At the Zbraslav–Jíloviště gathering, spectators can enjoy vehicle exhibitions, hill training and competition runs, an orienteering drive and a social evening with music; admission is free.

A Catholic Mass is scheduled for May 2026 in the Chapel-Belfry of St. Florian in Jíloviště.

Historic transportation routes, the present-day gathering of historic vehicles and the Mass scheduled for May 2026 thus represent different cultural points of reference, each with its own temporal context.

Regional Area

The wider regional area around Jíloviště includes the Palác Kinských palace, The Golz-Kinsky Palace, the Galerie Rudolfinum museum and Veslařský ostrov island.

The listed natural and cultural destinations are therefore distributed across the immediate vicinity, the surrounding area and the wider regional area of Jíloviště.

When choosing accommodation in Jíloviště, the travel period, room category and cancellation conditions may provide different points of comparison. This information belongs to the accommodation itself and stands independently alongside the described trails, natural destinations and cultural points of reference.
